The Quality Assurance Program is designed to maintain and enhance the knowledge, skill, and judgement of optometrists so that appropriate high quality care is provided to the public. The Quality Assurance Committee does this by assessing members' practices and by evaluating their clinical ability. If the assessment shows that the member is not maintaining the standards, a remedial program is designed to help him/her improve patient care. Dr. Furniss had been an Assessor for the Quality Assurance Committee since 1995. |
